I wrote a long, heartfelt blog post about the last week. It was an emotional week, full of love, heartache, fun, and loss, and 40+ hours of driving in my car. Then I realized the words just didn’t feel like they were meant for sharing. This of course is an interesting turn of events for me, as I’m typically an open book here in my corner of the internet. (Some prefer the term “train wreck”, I prefer “real”. Where is that sarcasm font when you need it…) Though I hide the personal stuff pretty damn well under the guise of mud, adventures, and athletics, it is still there, every single second of every single day. But the truth is, we all have our struggles, and we all work through them in our own capacity. Those who can’t accept that we are all on our own journey are, well…blissfully unaware. Let’s go with that. And I truly admire them for it, for having such a positive outlook that they think they have it all figured out. We all need more of that.
So today, instead of sharing the words, I choose to remain in the blissful category as well. Here are some end of summer pictures (in no particular order) that:
a) make me smile
b) explain why I haven’t posted much in the past few weeks
c) remind me that at the end of the day, life is good. Crazy and never the way I imagined it would be, but good none the less.
Tomorrow we return to regularly scheduled posting.
