Last night proved to have little to no sleep. A bit of a “sister” emergency, that I was MORE than happy to be able to be there for/help out with, so I’m not complaining, just saying: I didn’t sleep last night. I had a bad feeling about this race from the start.

As much as I was displeased with my time, I still managed to come in 3rd place in my age group and receive a medal. You know me, i LOVE the hardware!! Hope also had a bad run (according to her) but came in at 25:(something) and placed first in her age group, 15-19. So, overall, I’m glad I went. I mean, a bad day at running is better than a good day at work…or something like that, right?

Great job on the run! I love the pics at the finish w/ the boys. I remember on your cafemom I saw one when you had finished a race and I couldn’t wait to do that when I ran Boston this year – get a picture at the finish/when I was finished w/ the little guy!!
AWesome medal too!
Heather,
Great recap. I don’t know how anyone can run in the humidity.
I ran Twin Cities marathon two years ago and the entire race felt like an out of body experience. Heat and humidity, OMG, what a combination.
3rd place when you are having a bad day is really amzing!
Good to hear you raised awareness for your cause today.
Enjoy your Dew 😉
