We are all familiar with the feeling: take a long break from exercising, and then you jump back in only to realize your muscles feel like jello. You are instantly kicking yourself for taking such a long break and you wonder how you were ever able to do an entire strength training session, because now you can barely hold up a 5 lb weight without shaking.
Don’t get me wrong, I am BEYOND excited to be back in school. But I’m seriously feeling the fact that the majority of the mental anguish my brain has felt over the last eight months was “what do you guys want for lunch, PB&J or chicken nuggets” and keeping up with Moose & Zee’s matching puzzles. Tough stuff I tell you.
5) Tomorrow I’m shooting for a 15 miler. PRAYING a week of stretching and icing will let it happen for me. Just because the training plan hasn’t gone 100% doesn’t mean I’ve given up on this marathon yet!!
