Which is the lesser of the three evils:
8 miles on a treadmill
pro: I don’t need to get anyone dressed or leave the house
con: 8 miles on a treadmill…
8 miles on the 1/12 of a mile track (96 laps)
pro: I can vary my pace naturally as I run; child watch at the gym = peace and quiet for mom!
con: 96 laps can make you dizzy…and seriously piss your ITband off with all of those turns…
8 miles pushing 100+ lbs of jogging stroller with two kids who are not likely to sit still for more than a mile?
pro: Outside. Fresh air.
con: If you are a gambler, you’d put your money on the fact that we likely won’t make it 8 miles before someone has to pee, and/or escapes the stroller, or I’m refereeing a preschool version of an MMA match.
So again, I ask you, which is the lesser of the three evils?
(chances are good I’ll be done with the run before I read the comments, but I found this predicament somewhat hysterical as I deeply contemplated my options this morning. Runners…we are a special bunch. And by special, I clearly mean crazy…)
